Meet the Instructors!

Dustin Maher: -ACE (American Council on Exercise) Personal Trainer -Group Fitness Instructor -CPR Certified -President of Dustin Maher Fitness -Creator of Fit Fun Bootcamps -UW Madison graduate in Kinesiology Exercise Science with a minor in Business
Dustin is a 2006 graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He became a certified trainer in 2004 and has become one of Madison's most in demand trainers filling his small group personal training sessions and classes. Dustin created the highly successful MamaTone Fitness program that has helped transform the lives of over 100 women.

Dustin enjoys anything active and tries to be outside as much as possible. He enjoys going grocery shopping, spending time by lakes, competing in Fitness Modeling Contests, and biking. Dustin is an accomplished tournament Scrabble player having scored over 500 points on several occasions. He plays tournament ping pong and is always looking for another challenger. He also plays a mean game of Connect Four and refuses to believe the game was created for elementary school kids.
Dustin's mission in life is to EDUCATE, MOTIVATE, and INSPIRE every person he comes interacts with!

Jen Werwie: -ACE (American Council on Exercise) Group Fitness Instructor -CPR/AED and First Aid Certified -UW Madison undergraduate senior majoring in Kinesiology Exercise Science and an emphasis in Global Cultures and Spanish -UW Housing Ogg Hall House Fellow
Jen is a UW senior who plans to graduate in December of 2008. After that, she plans to continue on to graduate school to obtain her doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has been working in the fitness industry for over 3 ½ years now as a group fitness instructor for UW Recreational Sports. This past May, she will be getting certified through ACE as a personal trainer. Jen enjoys and has extensive experience teaching group classes such as Group Strength, SuperSircuit, Cardio, Box Blast, Bootcamp, Core Crunch, Zumba, and Step Aerobics. She has taught fitness classes to people of a wide range of ages (5 years-85 years of age) and fitness levels. Jen gets great fulfillment out of empowering people to take charge of their life by making fitness and lifestyle changes.
Jen enjoys traveling, eating ethnic foods (especially Mediterranean), going to the zoo (giraffes are the best!), tennis, camping and any type of outdoor excursion, going to Badger football games, the Dominican Republic, dancing to hip hop, Latin, or 80s music, and just spending time with family and friends.

Lisa Geissler: -CNT (Certified Natural Trainer) -Hip Hop Hustle -YMCA Healthy Principles -YMCA Group Exercise -Heartsaver CPR/AED
Lisa is a single mom with an 8 1/2 year old son. She works full time at American Family Insurance as a Business Technology Manager in the Life/Health Company. She has always had an interest in fitness and her dream is have her own fitness center someday. Seeing her now, you'd never know she had a 38 inch waist in Junior High and was teased and picked on in school for being overweight! Lisa has been a member of almost every gym/fitness center in the Madison area and has had several personal trainers. "I have to say, bootcamp workouts rock and are, by far, the best way to get in shape!"
Lisa's hobbies include any type of physical activity, especially outdoors. She enjoys motorcycling, scuba diving, kayaking, camping, biking, running, going for walks, kick-boxing, Turbo Kick, Hip Hop Hustle, traveling, working out (of course), volleyball, softball, and let's not forget about attending Badger sporting events especially Badger Football and the tailgating that goes along with that!!
Lisa is very proud of the fact that she's successfully completed 2 Half Marathons! A full marathon is her next goal.
Lisa also enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her son. He keeps her busy with his schedule – baseball and golf!

Ryan DeRose: -First Aid Certified -UW Madison undergraduate senior majoring in Kinesiology (Exercise Movement & Science) and Psychology -Anatomy / Physiology Peer Leader -Kinesiology Club member
Ryan is a UW senior planning to graduate in May of 2009. Following graduation, he plans to continue on to graduate school to obtain his doctorate in Physical Therapy. He has previous experience working in Physical Therapy clinics helping patients recover from various injuries. He stresses the importance of making exercise a part of one's everyday life not only to prevent future injuries, but also because of its many physiological and mental health benefits. Ryan is highly motivated and loves working with other people to obtain their future health goals.
In his free time, Ryan loves to play sports of any kind (soccer, ultimate Frisbee, basketball, etc.), run, swim, play the drums, be outdoors, go camping, and spend time with family and friends.

Brandon Serwe: -ACE (American Council on Exercise) Personal Trainer -ACE Lifestyle & Weight Management Coach -UW Madison undergraduate senior majoring in Kinesiology – Exercise & Movement Science
Brandon is a UW junior planning to graduate in May 2009. He has been a certified trainer since August 2007 and lifestyle & weight management coach since January 2008. He enjoys working with clients of all ages and abilities. Post-graduation Brandon plans to become an independent trainer and to eventually own his own gym.
Brandon enjoys any type of workout, but is particularly fond of circuit training and non-conventional methods such as: kettlebells, sledge-hammer training, tire flipping, bodyweight exercises, and pulling/pushing/dragging/throwing heavy objects. He likes to keep things fresh and stimulating by continuously modifying his routine and rarely performing the same workout twice.
Brandon is also a member of the UW Triathlon Team. He has competed in sprint, olympic, and half-ironman distances. His goal is to race in Ironman Wisconsin in 2009.
Brandon enjoys climbing, hunting, fishing, bowling, spending time with his family and friends, and meeting new people. He is always willing to go the extra mile to help people reach their lifestyle and fitness goals!
